A MODEL OF OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE ACTIONS IN THE WOMEN'S SOCCER

Abstract The purpose of this work was to present a model which shows the efficiency of the actions in the women's soccer, based on observations of 4 the tournament matches during the Algarve Cup in Denmark in 2007 years. The successful teams were analyzed, from the quarterfinals to a final match. Actions, efficiency and reliability, during both offensive and defensive actions, were subject to this examination. It has been ascertained that the most effective actions are at possessing of ball and those of gaining the space; and scoring goals is higher to that which had been observed during finals in other top men's soccer tournaments. Additionally, in the best women-players manifest average reliability in all kind of actions.
