Abstract Sports have deep roots in human culture. Successful socialization is conditioned by three factors: expectations, changes in behavior and formation of acompetent person. In researching socialization problem in sports, socialization models can be identified, their fundamental elements being susceptibility to performing a role, family, school, and friends. They also are the main socialization agents determining the degree of role socialization as an and in result. The aforesaid explains the main objective of socialization: to teach skills and knowledge of physical activity and to develop interpersonal competency
