Abstract The contemporary problem of clinical medicine - the duodenal ulcer is reviewed in this article. The discussed of the clear correlation between the peculiarities of the gastric juices aggression and the type of the personality type has been revealed in patients with the duodenal ulcer. In the study the clear correlation between the peculiarities of the gastric juices aggression and the type of the personality type has been revealed in patients with the duodenal ulcer. The role of serotonin and melatonin in the regulation of the gastric aggression has been shown.
