Abstract The main cognitive aim of the study is to determine the properties of body composition of men training Greco-Roman wrestling are to reveal its connection with the sports level and training experience. The study involved Polish national team representatives (n=13). The subjects' age oscillated in the range of 18-28 years (20.5±2.6), and the training experience - 5-12 years (8.54±2.22). Anthropometric measurements were conducted during the national team training camp. The measurements were taken in consistence with generally adopted principles using standard instruments. In total 20 basic somatic features were measured. The results of the study were then subject to basic statistical analysis. In result of the carried out study it was found that men training Greco-Roman wrestling are characterised by high values of the forearm perimeter and average body mass. The connections between particular features of the body composition and the level of sports mastery and the training experience are diversified depending on the competitor's weight category.
