Abstract The young child's development is an issue that is being considered by many researchers and investigation centres. Unfortunately, although the civilization develops, namely the fields of medicine or new highly precise diagnostic technology, the number of children being at risk of disabilities or disorders does not decrease. What is more, recently that number has even been growing. The analysis of most symptoms accompanying children with psychomotor disorders revealed that there is a probability to recognize them even in preschool age. As a result of the significant growth of the amount of such children diagnosed there has been an early intervention program introduced. The realization of this program is supposed to increase the uncovery of the children with disordered development and at the same time providing them with therapeutic support as soon as possible. The early discovery of the developmental disturbances determines the necessity of launching the stimulating and compensation activities. The survey presented in the article was done in order to define the possibilities of finding the symptoms of the psychomotor developmental disturbances of the preschool children as the realization of early intervention program.
