| Abstract |
Gives versions and historical data on an origin and development of softball in USA and then in Europe. The generalized material how did softball find its way to Ukraine and then so widely spread there are stated. The author makes attempt to describe historical aspects and tendencies of development of softball as Olympic sport, and what perspective of this game might be in Ukraine. The prospects of development of softball dictate the necessity of decision arising up scientifically-methodical tasks.
